Приведены сведения о характере формирования и выведения эякулятов, строении и свойствах спермиев. Рассчитана на ихтиологов, рыбоводов, цитологов, биологов, интересующихся теоретическими основами рыбоводства, преподавателей, студентов и аспирантов биологических и рыбоводных вузов./The book summarized the data on the development, structure and functioning of the reproductive system of male fishes. It describes migration of primordial germ cells in the region of embryonic gonads, the formation of the urogenital system, sex differentiation, cases of hermaphroditism, natural and artificially induced sex-reversals. Special attention is paid to the peculiarities of the structure of the urogenital system, male accessory organs of reproduction and spermatogenesis in selachians, chimaeras, teleosts and other groups of fish, the nature of the influence of environmental factors and gormonal regulation of the gonadal cycles. It contains data on the nature of the formation and evacuation of ejaculates, the structure and characteristics of spermatozoa. The book is intended for ichthyologists, pisciculturists, cytologists and biologists who are interested in the theoretical principles of fish-breeding as well as teachers, students and post-graduates of biological and piscicultural colleges.
