Аннотация: Изучен материал, собранный на 12 станциях трёх разрезов, пересекающих стержень Гольфстрима южнее п-ва Новая Шотландия между 40гр.04' - 42гр.46' с.ш. и 57гр.50' - 62гр.04' з.д., выполненных с 30 апреля по 3 мая 1981 г. При просмотре около 1000 экз. определено 55 видов мезопелагических рыб, относящихся к 19 семействам. Подавляющее большинство (около 90%) обнаруженных видов имеют разного типа тепловодные ареалы (субтропический, широко-тропический, тропический и периферический) и лишь небольшая часть принадлежит к бореальной фауне Северной Атлантики (Bathylagus euryops, Stomias boa ferox, Benthosema glaciale, Ceratoscopelus maderensis, Lampanyctus crocdilus, Arctozenus rissoi)./Data were studied collected at 12 stations of 3 transects crossing the pivot of the Gulf Stream to the south of Nova Scotia between 40degrees04' - 42degrees46' N and 57degrees50' - 62degrees04' W. The stations were conducted from April 30 to May 3, 1981. About 1,000 mesopelagic fishes from 55 Species and 19 Families were analyzed. The overwhelming majority (about 90%) of the species occured in the warm-water areas of different types (subtropical, wide-tropical, tropical and peripheral). Only a smoll amount of species belongs to the North American boreal fauna (Bathylagus euryops, Stomias boa ferox, Benthosema glaciale, Ceratoscopelus maderensis, Lampanyctus crocdilus, Arctozenus rissoi).
