Пищевые отношения мойвы, сайки и трески в период их нагула в Баренцевом море = Trophic relationships between capelin, polar cod and cod during their feeding in the Barents Sea / Орлова, Э.Л.Оганин, И.А.Долгов, А.В. Выявлено, что в умеренные и тёплые годы наблюдается совпадение ареалов трески и мойвы, что стабилизирует кормовую базу трески и обеспечивает ей высокую жирность./The materials collected for years with different water temperatures in the Barents Sea were used to study trophic relationships in the "plankton - pelagic fish (capelin, polar cod) - cod" complex during their feeding in the northern Barents Sea. It is shown that feeding interactions between fish depend on their abundance and distribution. It is revealed that in moderate and warm years distribution of capelin coincides with that of cod, which provides stable food supply and ensures high fatness of cod.

Аннотация: Finding out the population structure of pollock is a complex procedure because of the species seasonal and ontogenetic migration intensity which undergoes significant interannual variations as dependent on the climate and ocean conditions, the abundance of population, and of the species in total. That is why, in order to obtain a comprehensive picture, the book reviews the results of a decade of integrated research (1996-2004) which included 26 cruises, 21 trawl surveys, 11 echointegration trawl surveys, 8 surveys of the juveniles and five ichthyoplankton surveys made in the northern, western and eastern parts of the Bering Sea where a novel approach developed by VNIRO was applied which involved serial repetition of surveys during a year. For the first time the results of such surveys made it possible to obtain information on the stock structure dynamics. The monograph reviews the organization of the Bering Sea pollock population using a virtually full set of approaches to the study of populations: genetic, ecological (biogeocenotic), morphological, biochemical, physiological, energy and ethological. The functional structure dynamics of the range between the 1970s and the present time was analyzed, as based on the own and published data.

Аннотация: Literature and author's data from various areas of the World Ocean and seas of the Russian Federation are analyzed for the allocation of productive zones by the content of chlorophyll "a". This is an area where the vegetation period weighted average phytoplankton chlorophyll "a" concentration in euphotic layer is greater than 1 mg/m3. These include coastal waters in temperate and low latitudes of the oceans, where there is the ascent of deep waters of the Antarctic circumpolar water between 50-70 degrees S, as well as waters of the seas of the Russian Federation, which were investigated by the scientists of VNIRO: the Caspian Sea; coastal zone of the South-Western part of the Black Sea; the western part of the Bering Sea; Okhotsk and White Sea (offshore, coastal waters of these seas, upwelling zones of islands, capes and underwater hills, front and gradient zones and others).

Аннотация: Oceanographic surveys of high spatial resolution were carried out in the western Bering Sea during past few years, which allow estimating primary production in the region based on drawdowns of nutrients. Present work suggests a new method of net (≈ to new) and gross (≈ total) primary production assessment based on summer or autumn nutrients and dissolved oxygen profiles. For 2012, gross (or total) primary production in the region was in range of 50-250 g C m-2 a-1, while net community (or new) primary production reached 30-80 g C m-2 a-1. New to total production ratio was in range of 0.2-0.8. The presented new method revealed good agreement with previous studies and supposed for use in the future ivestigations.
