Аннотация: The analysis of aquaculture status on the south of Russia is given in the paper, causes for level recession of farmed fish production in freshwater bodies of southern country regions are shown. Prospects of reconstruction and development of fish farming under conditions of fish cultivation in ponds and lakes are specified. Reserves for extension of aquaculture trends, including mariculture in the Black Sea coastal zone, are outlined.

Аннотация: The article is about a methodical approach to study of ichthyocenosis in small water bodies using a collection of gill nets with various cell-mess. It has been described a list of parameter which can be calculated on the base of catches and used for evaluation of the current state of ichthyocenosis and fish populations. It is analyzed a possibility of the interpretation of the results of studies to assess the relative abundance and potential yield.

Аннотация: The level of efforts on artificial reproduction of Baikal omul has no analogue in the global practice of whitefish fish reproduction. During the work time of the fisheries over 50 billion omul fry and 280 million omul young fish were released into Lake Baikal. At present such valuable as the Baikal sturgeon, trout and goldilock are included in the Red Books (IUCN, the Red Book of Russia, the Republic of Buriatia, Irkutsk Region and Zabaikalsky Region). To preserve biodiversity of Lake Baikal basin and restocking species of fish mentioned above, beside traditional measures of protection, their artificial reproduction on the Baikal hatcheries is necessary. The essential measure on effective artificial reproduction supply is to be technical basis of the hatchery complex modernization.
