Аннотация: Рассмотрена возможность использования карт ТПО, построенных по данным ИСЗ, для оценки изменчивости меандрирования ЮПФЗ. В качестве критерия изменчивости использован показатель "степени меандрирования" К, введённый Е.И. Барановым для выявления меандрирования Гольфстрима. Показатель К, рассчитанный за период с октября 1987 г. по июль 1990 г. с дискретностью 7-12 дней, может быть дополнительной характеристикой величины взаимодействия различных водных масс и косвенным показателем устойчивости условий среды обитания скоплений миктофид в районе ЮПФЗ./The possibility is discussed of the use of SST maps derived from satellite information for the evaluation of meandering variability of SPFZ. As the variability criterion the authors used the index of "the degree of meandering" - K, introduced by E.I. Baranov to describe meandering of Gulf Stream. Index K calculated for the period from October 1987 to July 1990 with the discretion of 7-12 days can serve as the additional characteristic of the scale of the interaction of different water masses and the indirect indicator of the environmental stability in the habitat of lanternfish concentrations in SPFZ area.

Аннотация: В работе представлены результаты эхометрических исследований трёх экспедиций ВНИРО в атлантический сектор Антарктики. Объект исследований - миктофиды. Гидроакустические работы в этих экспедициях включали: проведение эхометрических съёмок, изучение поведения скоплений, определение степени наполнения трала и промысловой значимости при облове скоплений миктофид./The article presents data of acoustic surveys from three cruises of VNIRO to the Antarctic Atlantic Sector. Lanternfish were the object of research. Hydroacoustic investigations in these cruises included assessment surveys, behaviour studies, estimates of the accumulation of the catch in the trawl and the evaluation of commercial importance of exploited lanternfish concentrations. Biomass assessments for surveyed areas in different seasons are given. It is noted that summer and summer-autumn periods favour acoustic surveys, while summer is more preferable for fishing operations. The method is suggested for the evaluation of commercial importance of concentrations and control of the catch accumulation in the trawl during fishing operations using echo integration through relevant regression equations.
