Аннотация: Приведены материалы по результатам исследований планктонного сообщества в южной части Охотского моря осенью 2005-2008 гг. Определены средняя биомасса, распределение и соотношение основных групп планктона. Качественный состав беспозвоночных мало различался по районам, изменения проявлялись в количестве отдельных видов и групп зоопланктона. Основу зоопланктона во все годы составляли представители крупной фракции, на долю которых приходилось 50-80% общей биомассы зоопланктона./Spatial distribution and average biomass are determined for the main groups of zooplankton on the base of the samples collected in the southern part of the Okhotsk Sea in autumn seasons of 2005-2008. Qualitative composition of the plankton was similar in different areas, with some differences in abundance of certain species or groups. Large-sized fraction, mainly Sagitta, Copepoda, and Euphausiidae, dominated in all years, its portion was 50-80% of total biomass of zooplankton.

Аннотация: Обусловлена легитимность прилова маломерного минтая и показаны пути повышения эффективности промысла за счёт использования существующих приловов непромысловых рыб. По имеющимся в ТИНРО-центре многолетним данным размерно-весового состава минтая в Охотском море удельный вес рыб этих размеров определён как средневзвешенная величина в уловах, составляющая 29,5%./Legitimation of the by-catch of small-size pollock is proved, and other way of the pollock fishery efficiency increasing is proposed, as processing of the by-catch of non-commercial fish. For these purposes, long-term data on the size-weight structure of pollock in the Okhotsk Sea are analyzed. The portion of small-sized pollock is estimated as 29.5%, on average.

Аннотация: The potencials of the modern analytical approach to assessment of a total allowable catch (TAC) as the key fisheries management measure were demonstrated on the example of the stock of walleye pollock Theragra chalcogramma (Pallas 1814) in the East of the Okhotsk Sea. The database (DB) of the information system (IS) "Fishery" was used as an alternative source of the initial information for analysis. The observed catches per unit effort ware converted into stock abundance indices. The main emphasis was placed on the following methodological issues: standardization of the observed values of catch per unit effort using generalized linear models (GLM), justifying the choice of the base model of the stock dynamics and the harvest control rule (HCR), risk analysis and other diagnostic procedures aimed to improve the efficiency of the aquatic biological resources management.

Аннотация: Literature and author's data from various areas of the World Ocean and seas of the Russian Federation are analyzed for the allocation of productive zones by the content of chlorophyll "a". This is an area where the vegetation period weighted average phytoplankton chlorophyll "a" concentration in euphotic layer is greater than 1 mg/m3. These include coastal waters in temperate and low latitudes of the oceans, where there is the ascent of deep waters of the Antarctic circumpolar water between 50-70 degrees S, as well as waters of the seas of the Russian Federation, which were investigated by the scientists of VNIRO: the Caspian Sea; coastal zone of the South-Western part of the Black Sea; the western part of the Bering Sea; Okhotsk and White Sea (offshore, coastal waters of these seas, upwelling zones of islands, capes and underwater hills, front and gradient zones and others).
