Но есть виды, у которых биомассы в элиторали в холодное время года увеличиваются./Fish population in the bottom and near-bottom layers is investigated for the depth range 50-200 m on the data of 88 trawl surveys, conducted completely of partially in Russia EEZ of the Japan Sea (in total, 3615 trawls including 2104 in May-October and 1511 in November-April). On average, species composition in the catches obtained in November-April is three times poorer than in May-October: 85 against 272 species.

Максимальные значения отмечены в малых водотоках (длиной до 20 км)./The grayling Thymallus tugarinae is a popular object for sport fishing in the Amur. Its number and biomass in the feeding period is estimated using the technique of CPUE extrapolation. The grayling lives in three biotopes: rift, pool, and reach. CPUE for each of them is estimated from catches of casting net (mesh size 5 mm, opening area 3 m2) in middle streams of nine rivers with different length, drainage, slope, etc. All rivers are divided to three types: small (length 50 km), medium (50-200km), and large (lenght 200 km).

Избирательность лососей по отношению к таким кормовым объектам, как эвфаузииды, гиперииды и птероподы, и интенсивное питание свидетельствуют о достаточном обилии корма в районах зимнего нагула рыб./Food structure and diet of pacific salmons are investigated in the central and western parts of the Subarctic Front in February-April, 2009. The salmons fed actively, in particular the large-sized fish. Pink salmon had the maximum indices of stomach fullness, sometimes up to 600%. The salmons preferred euphausiids, hyperiids, and pteropods. High selectivity of salmons feeding and its high intensity indicate high abundance of forage organisms in their winter feeding grounds.

В биологическом отношении загрязнение варьирует от уровня, при котором изменения в сообществах макрозообентоса не наблюдается, до такого, при котором происходит их полная деградация./Distribution of petroleum hydrocarbons, phenols, ions of cooper and lead, and dichlordipheniltrichlormethane (pp'-DDT and its metabolites pp'-DDD and pp'-DDE) in sediments of the eastern part of the Bosphor Vostochny Strait is studied. The pollutants have significant spatial variability. Generally, pollution is estimated as moderate, but its impact on macroozoobenthos varies from zero influence to the total degradation of macrozoobenthic communities.

Аннотация: Veined rapa whelk (Rapana venosa) was first recorded in the Black Sea in 1947 near Novorossiysk and by the 1970s it spread along the whole Black Sea coasts. In this time interval the rapa whelk population was stabilized in number and during the 1980s its annual fluctuations depended only from climate changes. In recent years we have observed a decrease in rapa whelk size, its earlier spawning and larval settling on submerged substrate and flattening of regional morphological changes. Based on the data analysis for 1970-2010, we offered the hypothesis that the changes in the rapa whelk biology had occurred owing to the change of the lecithotrophic larval development pattern from the years of abundant food supply to the planktotrophic one in the years with low feeding benthos mass.

Аннотация: Species composition, distribution reproduction, age composition and biomass of copepods in the northern Barents Sea in 2008-2011 under warming of Arctic are considered in the paper. Main factors which impact on main characteristics of zooplaktton communities are revealed. Dynamics of abundance of Calanus finmarchicus mainly determined by intensity of warm water flux to the Barents Sea, while for rate of ice melting and predation on older individuals and females by pelagic fishes were the most important for C.lgacialis.

Аннотация: Euphausiids (Euphausiacea) are the key species in the trophic structure of ecosystems of the Southern Ocean. The data on the distribution and age structure of Euphausiids larvae were collected during R/V "Polarstern" expedition in January 2011 in the West Antarctic Peninsula region. Three types of distribution were found out among the four Euphausiids species: offshore (T. macrura and E. frigida), inshore (E. crystallorophias) and distribution at the shelf slope (E. superba). The densities of E. superba larvae in 2011 were higher than the results of previous studies in the 70's and 80's. This indicates a high recruitment rates in spite of rapid climatic changes in the Antarctic Peninsula region.

Three types of distribution were found out among the four Euphausiids species: offshore (T. macrura and E. frigida), inshore (E. crystallorophias) and distribution at the shelf slope (E. superba). Аннотация: Features of spatial and vertical distributions of two species of anadromous parasitic lampreys, Arctic lamprey Lethenteron camtschaticum and Pacific lamprey Enthosphenus tridentatus, in the North Pacific Ocean are considered in a comparative perspective. It is shown that the first species is most abundant in the northwestern Pacific (Sea of Japan and Sea of Okhotsk), while second species - in the northeastern Pacific (west coast of USA and Canada). Both species reach high abundance in the Bering Sea, however prefer different biotopes. Arctic lamprey inhabits mostly upper 100-m layer, while Pacific lamprey occupies water column with depths less than 200 m and near-bottom layers shallower 500 m. Based on the features of spatial and vertical distributions, it might be assumed that the hosts of the former species are mainly Pacific salmons Oncrorhynchus spp., while those of the latter species - various demersal fishes such as walleye pollock Theragra chalcogramma, Pacific cod Gadus macrocephalus, Greenland halibut Reinhardtius hippoglossoides, etc.

Аннотация: Hydroacoustic observations of Antarctic krill were made during the 27th Antarctic expedition of the RV "Polarstern" in CCAMLR Subareas 48.1, 48.2, 48.5 and 48.6 including in the central part of the Weddell Sea. Hydroacoustic data were collected using two-frequency echo sounder (70 and 120 kHz) "SIMRAD EK 60". Nautical Area Scattering Coefficient (NASC) was used for characteristic of krill density. NASC was calculated from 10 to 300 m depths with EDSU 5 nm. Maximal NASC values (average 44,4+-3,1 m2/n.m2) were recorded in the Antarctic Peninsula region (Subarea 48.1). Increasing of NASC was recorded in regions corresponding to the Antarctic Circumpolar Current, the Coastal Current and the circulation around the Maud Rise. NASC values in the central part of the Weddell Sea (between 15 degrees and 45 degrees W) were extremely low, mainly less than 1 m2/n.m2. Extremely low NASC indicates the absence of krill swarms in the central part of the Weddell Sea and probably connected with large-scale circulation of the Atlantic sector of Antarctica.
