Аннотация: Для определения возраста минтая обычно используют отолиты. Однако подсчёт годовых колец по этой структуре не всегда надёжен. В качестве эксперимента была выполнена попытка определения возраста по позвонкам. Годовые кольца на позвонках проявляются более отчётливо, чем на отолитах, и видны по всему периметру. Эта особенность облегчает определение возраста. Сравнение оценок возраста по отолитам и позвонкам показало практически полную сходность результатов. По позвонкам выполнены обратные расчисления длины минтая. Полученная кривая роста тесно коррелирует (r=0,99) с результатами многолетних эмпирических наблюдений по отолитам. Делается вывод, что позвонки пригодны для определения возраста минтая./Age reading in walleye pollack needs using the otoliths usually. Nevertheless calculation of annual rings from this structure has not been reliable always. Experimental attempt of age reading from vertebrae has made. Vertebra annual rings have found more distinct being compared to otolith ones and seen clear everywhere throughout the perimeters. That should simplify reading the age. Comparison between results of otoliths and vertebrae age estimations showed almost total their coincidence. Retrospective calculations of body length were made from vertebrae. The curve of growth obtained correlated closely (r=0,99) to the results of multiple-year empiric observations from otoliths. Thus, vertebrae are concluded useful for reading age of walleye pollock.

Аннотация: The potencials of the modern analytical approach to assessment of a total allowable catch (TAC) as the key fisheries management measure were demonstrated on the example of the stock of walleye pollock Theragra chalcogramma (Pallas 1814) in the East of the Okhotsk Sea. The database (DB) of the information system (IS) "Fishery" was used as an alternative source of the initial information for analysis. The observed catches per unit effort ware converted into stock abundance indices. The main emphasis was placed on the following methodological issues: standardization of the observed values of catch per unit effort using generalized linear models (GLM), justifying the choice of the base model of the stock dynamics and the harvest control rule (HCR), risk analysis and other diagnostic procedures aimed to improve the efficiency of the aquatic biological resources management.
